LAST Test

After taking the LAST 5 times, I decided to try the course over the internet that Cert Ed. had to offer. It helped me tremendously, because I finally passed after the 6th try! My score went from a 208 to a 231. All of my scores improved, some of which by 80 points! I truly recommend this course to anyone taking the test! It works!!! S.L.Corigliano.

Hi Jack, I am pleased to report that I was successful on both portions of the NYS Certification tests. I was particularly pleased with the preparation and instructions I received for the Writing component of the LAST. Following the instructions I was given at the Orientation, I received a score of 300 on that portion. I was able to study at my leisure for as much or as little time as I needed. Hi Jack!! Thanks again for being the pushiest person in the world (next to mom, of course)!! Just got my scores. LAST = 276, CST = 267. Not bad, actually. I'm a little bummed by the 239 I got in the Historical & Social Scientific Awareness section on the LAST but I did get a 300 in three areas, including the essay. I could not have achieved these results without your class. Your online availability made it fit my schedule and gave me no excuses. Your face to face sessions were of equal importance. I think that both are needed to be successful. The obvious hints of getting enough sleep, and checking location the day before the exam, etc. were very useful. Although obvious they can be overlooked in the rush of studying for this exam, going to grad. school, and working full time. I would also like to commend your technical set up. First, I'd like to say thank you! The Cert Ed prep course was truly a blessing. The strategies that I learned really helped me out a lot. I passed the LAST and I am extremely happy. I highly recommend this program for all who are serious about passing the LAST. As long as you put in the time, study the modules, and take the timed practice test success is inevitable. I have good news to give you Mr. Raisner. I passed the ATS-W with a score of 231. Before July 2001, I had taken this test 3 times. I found that your suggestions and strategies were right on the mark. As a matter of fact, I got my highest score so far in the Written Assignment section (260). In any case, thank you very much for your useful insights and keep up the good work! M.P.
